THE BEAUTIFUL CAUSE
Look Good Feel Better is Canada’s only national charitable program dedicated to helping people manage the appearance-related effects of cancer and its treatment.
At Look Good Feel Better, we know that true health care treats the whole person - not just the physical, but the emotional and psychological aspects too. It’s easy to forget how much of our identity is related to our physical appearance – things like hair and body image can be a powerful part of that. Cancer affects this at a time when a person may be feeling vulnerable in many other ways.
At the heart of our program is a complimentary two-hour workshop which provides tools and techniques on makeup and cosmetic hygiene, skin care and hair alternatives to help people feel like herself again. More than that,
Look Good Feel Better provides a place of connectivity and community for people facing similar challenges. This vital programming in supportive care encourages positive mental health and well-being.
